“Normally I don’t like school assemblies, but this one was great. I used to think Greek mythology was boring until today.”

chariot of the sun
Chariot of the Sun is a one-man show on Greek mythology, performed by Seth Reichgott in elementary and middle schools throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland. Its companion program is The Golden Lyre, for grades K–2. Since 2001, Seth’s performances of Chariot of the Sun have been praised by educators and students alike, and seen by well over 150,000 people.
Chariot of the Sun encourages students to learn more about the myths of Ancient Greece and to begin to think about the enormous influence the Greeks had on Western Civilization.
For lower grades, students are seated on the floor in a half-circle, similar to in a Greek theater. For middle schools, we prefer to work in an auditorium when it's available. If not, we set up chairs in a special arrangement, either in a gymnasium or cafeteria.

“At the elementary level, it feels like we are always searching for good assembly programs. If you are looking for a solid assembly with some great entertainment value along with a curriculum tie-in, this could be the ticket for you. This guy did a fantastic job.”

“Word at Peirce (kids, teachers, and parents) is that Chariot of the Sun was the best enrichment program we’ve EVER had. My son reports the masks were really cool and the show was funny and the kids who helped were great. Thanks.”
